Six Quotes Hint Why Marget Sanger Received "a dozen invitations" to speak at Ku Klux Klan Rallies

Margaret Sanger wrote about her Ku Klux Klan speech in her autobiography, "I accepted an invitation to talk to the women's branch of the Ku Klux Klan...I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses...I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak...In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered." (Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366)

What did she say in her talk at the KKK Rally that led to twelve more invitations? Well, take a look at some of her past quotes:

1) "We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

Margaret Sanger's December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble, 255 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts. Original source: Sophia Smith Collection, Smith College, North Hampton, Massachusetts. Also described in Linda Gordon's Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America. New York: Grossman Publishers, 1976.

2) "Eugenic sterilization is an urgent need ... We must prevent multiplication of this bad stock."

Margaret Sanger, April 1933 Birth Control Review.

3) "Our failure to segregate morons who are increasing and multiplying ... demonstrates our foolhardy and extravagant sentimentalism ... [Philanthropists] encourage the healthier and more normal sections of the world to shoulder the burden of unthinking and indiscriminate fecundity of others; which brings with it, as I think the reader must agree, a dead weight of human waste. Instead of decreasing and aiming to eliminate the stocks that are most detrimental to the future of the race and the world, it tends to render them to a menacing degree dominant ... We are paying for, and even submitting to, the dictates of an ever-increasing, unceasingly spawning class of human beings who never should have been born at all."

Margaret Sanger. The Pivot of Civilization, 1922. Chapter on "The Cruelty of Charity," pages 116, 122, and 189. Swarthmore College Library edition.

4) "The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it."

Margaret Sanger (editor). The Woman Rebel, Volume I, Number 1. Reprinted in Woman and the New Race. New York: Brentanos Publishers, 1922.

5) "Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race."

6) "Eugenics is … the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.Margaret Sanger. "

A Great Washington Times Editorial on Planned Parenthood, Racism and Margaret Sanger

The abortion industry

It is well known that Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, aligned herself with the eugenicists concerned with eliminating undesirables from the population. Moreover, Sanger received and accepted an invitation to address a Ku Klux Klan chapter and gave a speech that led to additional Klan invitations. Although we do not know what she said, we do know that recently questions have been raised about racism at Planned Parenthood clinics.

Documented in a widely-circulated recording and transcript, a UCLA student researcher for a pro-life magazine hired a professional actor in February 2008 to call Planned Parenthood clinics around the country, offering donations to "lower the number of black people" by targeting black babies for abortion. She found Planned Parenthood clinics in seven states that agreed to take the monies. Not one Planned Parenthood employee objected to the caller's racist remarks or purposes.

New Video: Margaret Sanger, the KKK, Planned Parenthood, Black Genocide

You will want to see this one:

Margaret Sanger, the KKK, Planned Parenthood, Black Genocide

Planned Parenthood of Idaho Apologizes for Targeting Black Babies

Citizenlink.org reports that Planned Parenthood has apologized for targeting black babies for abortions. Of course, targeting black babies has been part of Planned Parenthood's game plan since the very beginning. The foundress, Margaret Sanger, spoke at a Ku Klux Klan rally and was so well received that she was flooded with similar invitations. So while Planned Parenthood may be apologizing for once again giving its game away, don't look for Planned Parenthood to stop killing black babies any time soon. The Planned Parenthood clinics will remain in predominantly black neighborhoods and rich bigoted whites liberals will continue to finance Black Genocide.

Planned Parenthood of Idaho Apologizes for Targeting Black Babies

The nation's largest abortion provider has apologized for accepting racist donations.
Planned Parenthood of Idaho assured a caller that his donation would be used to abort black babies, the Idaho Statesman reported. It has since apologized.

The Advocate, a pro-life student magazine at the University of California-Los Angeles, hired an actor last summer to call Planned Parenthood posing as a donor who wanted his money used to abort black babies. Autumn Kersey, vice president of development and marketing for Planned Parenthood of Idaho, took the call and welcomed the donation.

The Advocate has released transcripts and audio recordings of the phone call. Planned Parenthood is accusing The Advocate of trying to discredit its employees and is threatening to sue.

Lila Rose, editor in chief of the magazine, led the investigation and said Planned Parenthood’s response comes as no surprise. She said the unedited recordings speak for themselves.
“Seventy-nine percent of their clinics are in minority neighborhoods,” she said. “They offer special incentive programs for black women and other minorities to get free abortions, under the misnomer of ‘Women in Need’ and ‘Justice’ funds.

“An African-American baby conceived in this country is just about as likely to be aborted as it is to be born.”

The Advocate has recordings from six other Planned Parenthood clinics that also agreed to accept donations to abort black babies. The magazine is calling for the UCLA administration to immediately cut ties with Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood: Living out the Racist Vision of Margaret Sanger

Great article from the California Catholic Daily:

And be sure to see this video documenting the racism of Planned Parenthood

“They live out her racist vision”

Covert investigation by UCLA students finds Planned Parenthood still wedded to founder’s bigoted views

A 19 year-old sophomore at UCLA continues to shake up pro-abortion forces with her investigative reporting, most recently by revealing Planned Parenthood’s indifference to racism when it benefits them.

Lila Rose, editor of The Advocate, a student magazine devoted to “educating the UCLA community about the right to life for all human beings,” had an actor posing as a prospective donor call Planned Parenthood in five states, offering to give money to “lower the number of blacks in America” and other racially motivated reasons. Not one Planned Parenthood employee rejected the money, nor did any of them object to the racist rhetoric of the caller.

Below is an exchange taken from one of the calls, during which the fake donor spoke with Autumn Kersey, director of development for Planned Parenthood of Idaho:

Donor: The abortion -- I can give money specifically for a black baby, that would be the purpose?

PP Rep: Absolutely. If you wanted to designate that your gift be used to help an African-American woman in need, then we would certainly make sure that the gift was earmarked for that purpose.

Donor: Great, because I really faced trouble with affirmative action, and I don’t want my kids to be disadvantaged against black kids. I just had a baby; I want to put it in his name. PP Rep: Yes, absolutely.

Donor: And we don’t, you know we just think, the less black kids out there the better.

PP Rep: Understandable, understandable.

Donor: Right. I want to protect my son, so he can get into college.

PP Rep: All right. Excuse my hesitation, this is the first time I’ve had a donor call and make this kind of request, so I’m excited, and want to make sure I don’t leave anything out.

Rose says she got the idea for the calls by reading about Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger. “She was a racist and eugenicist,” said Rose. “She literally wanted to use sterilization and abortion as a tool to wipe out minority populations, especially the black community. Yet today, they (Planned Parenthood) honor their founder, this racist, with the Margaret Sanger Award that they give out.” Rose continued, “At the same time, they live out her racist vision on a practical level by targeting the African-American and minority communities. Seventy-nine percent of their clinics are in minority neighborhoods. They offer special incentive programs for black women and other minorities to get free abortions, under the misnomer of ‘Women in Need’ and ‘Justice’ funds. In fact, in our investigation, employees told us about special funds that were set up for minority women.

“The African-American community is impacted by this more than any other group because the statistics show that 13 percent of women are African-American, but they get more than 36 percent of all abortions. An African-American baby conceived in this country is just about as likely to be aborted as it is to be born.”

So far, The Advocate has released transcripts and recordings from just two of the states, Idaho and Ohio. The other three states will be released soon.

This is not the first time Rose has conducted undercover work to expose Planned Parenthood’s dark agenda. Last year, posing as an underage pregnant girl with an adult boyfriend, she secretly videotaped Planned Parenthood employees in Los Angeles telling a girl they believed to be 15 years old to "figure out a birth-date that works" to prevent statutory rape charges against her supposed 23-year-old boyfriend.

In addition to publishing a story about it in The Advocate, Rose posted the videos on YouTube. On May 14, 2007, Planned Parenthood sent Rose a cease and desist letter by registered mail demanding that she stop the calls, relinquish all recordings and transcripts and remove them from the Internet. Rose has not complied.

Planned Parenthood: Wanting fewer blacks 'understandable'

First of all, YOU MUST SEE THIS VIDEO

Thanks to Dani for the tip.

From World Net Daily:

Planned Parenthood: Wanting fewer blacks 'understandable'
Abortion provider says 'yes' when 'donor' wants to reduce minorities

By Bob Unruh

A student-run magazine at UCLA has revealed an undercover investigation in which representatives of Planned Parenthood, the nation's abortion industry leader, admitted willingness to accepting a financial donation targeting the destruction of an unborn black baby.

Lila Rose, who edits The Advocate, previously revealed how Planned Parenthood officials expressed a willingness to conceal statutory rape, an investigative piece that earned her an appearance on the Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor."

Now she's told WND she hopes the taped responses of Planned Parenthood officials in seven states reveal to her local UCLA community and the nation the racist leanings of the organization.

WND calls to Planned Parenthood of Idaho, which was featured in The Advocate report, requesting a comment were not returned.

"Students on campus are shocked and saddened that such a huge organization would have racist leanings in the present day," Rose told WND. "They are surprised to hear the truth about [Planned Parenthood founder] Margaret Sanger, and how the African-American community is being hurt by abortion.

"There's a lot of surprise out there. Planned Parenthood does an excellent job of covering up the facts," she said.

Sanger supported eugenics to cull those she considered unfit from the population. In 1921, she said eugenics is "the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems."

At one point, Sanger lamented "the ever increasing, unceasingly spawning class of human beings who never should have been born at all." Another time, Sanger wrote, "We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population."

According to Bryan Fisher, executive director of Idaho Values Alliance, Planned Parenthood, which gets an estimated $200 million annually from U.S. taxpayers, has located nearly 80 percent of its clinics nationwide in minority neighborhoods, and about one-third of all abortions are performed on blacks, even though they make up only 13 percent of the population.

Nationwide, almost half of all black pregnancies end in abortion, officials said.

"It turns out that blatant racism is alive and well in Idaho, but it's not coming from the Aryan Nation types – it's coming from way-left organizations like Idaho's own Planned Parenthood," Fischer said. "If Idaho is in fact a haven for white racism, it turns out that Planned Parenthood and not Richard Butler is to blame."

Richard Butler, who died in 2004, was a notorious white supremacist who founded Aryan Nations in northern Idaho. He lost a 20-acre compound in 2000 when a $6.3 million civil judgment against his group led to a bankruptcy.

"Idaho didn't have room for Richard Butler and shouldn't have room for Planned Parenthood," Fischer said.

The Advocate released a transcript of a conversation between an actor presuming to be a racist and wanting to make a donation, and a woman identified as Autumn Kersey, vice president of marketing for Planned Parenthood of Idaho.

Actor: I want to specify that abortion to help a minority group, would that be possible?
Planned Parenthood: Absolutely.

Actor: Like the black community for example?
Planned Parenthood: Certainly.
Actor: The abortion – I can give money specifically for a black baby, that would be the purpose?
Planned Parenthood: Absolutely. If you wanted to designate that your gift be used to help an African-American woman in need, then we would certainly make sure that the gift was earmarked for that purpose.
Actor: Great, because I really faced trouble with affirmative action, and I don't want my kids to be disadvantaged against black kids. I just had a baby; I want to put it in his name.
Planned Parenthood: Yes, absolutely
.
Actor: And we don't, you know we just think, the less black kids out there the better.
Planned Parenthood: (Laughs) Understandable, understandable.
Actor: Right. I want to protect my son, so he can get into college.

Planned Parenthood: All right. Excuse my hesitation, this is the first time I've had a donor call and make this kind of request, so I'm excited, and want to make sure I don't leave anything out.

The investigation included calls to Planned Parenthood in Idaho and half a dozen other states

"I think Idahoans are going to be horrified and shocked at the blatant racism and bigotry exhibited by our local Planned Parenthood affiliate," said Fischer. "I just cannot imagine they're going to stand for that."

He said the timing of the release of the information was intriguing, because the Idaho Legislature is scheduled this week to have its first public hearing on a bill written to prevent Idaho women from being forced into having abortions they do not want.

Rose said students at UCLA now have begun a petition to request the school cut its affiliations with Planned Parenthood.

She said the actor specifically asked about lowering "the number of black people," and each PP branch called agreed to process the racially earmarked donation.

"None expressed concern about the racist reasoning for the donation," The Advocate said.

The Advocate said an Ohio representative, identified as Lisa Hutton, listens to the racist reasoning, but confirmed Planned Parenthood "will accept the money for whatever reason."

Rose said her UCLA campaign has been endorsed by Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, who said she supports "the student campaign to get UCLA to cease its programs with Planned Parenthood."

Another Planned Parenthood branch, in Kansas, is facing 107 misdemeanor and felonies charges for allegedly violating Kansas abortion law.

WND reported Rose previously posed as a 15-year-old seeking an abortion at a Planned Parenthood center in Santa Monica, Calif. She was equipped with a hidden camera when she met with an employee to discuss her options.

When Rose revealed she was 15 and her boyfriend was 23, the employee informed her Planned Parenthood was legally required to report the statutory rape, a transcript of the conversation shows.

The Planned Parenthood representative then suggested she could say she was 16 and avoid complications.

"Well, just figure out a birth date that works. And I don't know anything," the rep said.

The Texas-based pro-life group Life Dynamics previously conducted an extensive undercover project in which an adult volunteer posing as a 13-year-old called every Planned Parenthood clinic in the U.S., saying she was pregnant by a 22-year-old boyfriend. Almost without exception, the clinics advised her to obtain an abortion without her parents' knowledge and told her how to protect her boyfriend, who would be guilty in any state of statutory rape.

An Open Letter to the Selectively Outraged Hypocrites of the Year, Mike and Mike in the Morning

MikeandMike@ESPNRADIO.com

Dear Mike and Mike,

You two sure were outraged when Don Imus referred to the Rutgers basketball team as "nappy-headed hos." In fact, you two were so upset by these comments that you even brought the Rutgers' head coach, Vivian Stringer, on to your show to discuss the issue.

And, of course, you two were again selectively outraged when Kelly Tilghman joked that young golfers might want to lynch Tiger Woods.

Your network fired Rush Limbaugh for saying Donovan McNabb was "overrated" and you two have both criticized Limbaugh's remarks.

Mel Gibson has received a great deal of criticism from you two.

So what happens when the two of you, in person, witness a famous sports personality bash an entire religion and let loose with a "F*** Jesus." What happens?

Did you two immediately go on the air and bash this person? Did you two immediately demand that she be fired? Did you two even report on the story at all?

Well of course not! She works for your station - ESPN. ESPN - the station that goes 24/7 when an athlete like Michael Richardson calls someone a "homo."

You two phonies were there when Dana Richardson said "F*** Jesus." Why the slience? You two, who are so outraged at any other slip of the tongue, have been mute about you cohort's outragous statements.

And this is not the only issue.

ESPN, and particularly your own show, has spent years talking about Barry Bonds and steroids. Your show spends almost an hour every day talking about Roger Clemens and steroids.

So what happens when Mike Golic admits on the here that he himself has used steroids? Mike Greenberg immediately changes the subject.

As reported by the Awful Announcing Blogspot:

I'm almost enraged that Greenberg doesn't even flinch when this is said. This is sports reporting at its worst. Your longtime partner is admitting to using steroids on National airwaves, and the topic is completely glossed over. How does this happen?

For as much time and effort that ESPN puts into reporting on Steroids how would they not tap into a resource that's admitting on-air that he did them.....WHILE STILL PLAYING!!! ESPN has had stories on the issue from acquiring performance enhancing drugs all the way to how they react with your body (and everything in between). I'll try to get the audio up later today, but am I that off-base on this one? Doesn't this seem the height of hypocrisy? I mean both of the Mikes completely bashed Barry Bonds for 3 months straight, but this isn't even talked about?!?!?

Ridiculous.

Show some integrity and report the Dana Jacobson story.

Blogger News Network reports the following:

ESPN’s Dana Jacobson’s Drunken Rant: ‘F**K Jesus’

January 20th, 2008 by Warner Todd Huston

Back on January 12th, the pressofatlanticcity.com reported on the aftermath of an event sponsored by ESPN morning talkers “Mike & Mike” in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The event, an 8th anniversary celebration in a roast style comedy show of the two hosts, Mike Golic and Mike Greenburg, was deemed “too long and uneven” by staff writer Scott Cronick, but the interesting thing is what he apparently left out about the drunken appearance by ESPN’s Dana Jacobson. It seems Jacobson was so drunk that her “comedy routine” included the always funny “f**k Jesus” but the press isn’t saying a word about this outrageous gaff.

The pressofatlanticcity.com reports that Jacobson was so drunk she was booed off the stage.

ESPN anchor Dana Jacobson made an absolute fool of herself, swilling vodka from a Belvedere bottle, mumbling along and cursing like a sailor as Mike & Mike rested their heads in their hands in embarrassment. (Comedian Eddie) Griffin came to the podium to defend her after she was booed by the crowd. Ross eventually had to pull her off stage, too.

Sounds embarrassing, of course. But what wasn’t reported is what Jacobson said to get “booed by the crowd.”

According to a report by someone in attendance at the event, Dana Jacobson said the following:

“f**k Notre dame”
“f**k touchdown Jesus”
and - the step-aside-because-lightning-is-about-to-strike… “f**k Jesus.”

So, one has to wonder why it is that she has been let off the hook by the media for saying “f**k Jesus” and for her otherwise drunken appearance? Let’s keep an eye on this to see if her anti-Christian rant becomes even more of an embarrassment for her, but since she attacked Jesus, it is quite doubtful that it will.

Most likely, she will be given a pass. After all, it’s not like she said f**k Allah, or f**k Jesse Jackson, right? After all, we should be used to the double standard that christians are OK to attack, I suppose.

The "reporters" at ESPN have skewered public figures for decades now over things said off the cuff. Now one of their own has given great offense in a public setting, and their response has been to try to cover it up. A supposed news organization trying to cover up their own dirt by suppressing the video of the recent Mike & Mike Roast.
If a coach or athlete had said such things, it would have been their lead story for several days until that person either resigned or was asked to step down. But they do not apply their microscope to themselves...apparently they are exempt. Unless of course, the groups offended - Christians, Catholics, and Notre Dame - are acceptable targets for such bigotry in their eyes.
For the past several years, Notre Dame fans have bristled at the anti-Notre Dame spin that ESPN has put on its' coverage. Now it is clear why. ESPN knowingly employs a hater of Christianity/Catholicity and Notre Dame, and aids her by trying to cover it up rather than reporting the story. It is clear that she represents the organization's view. All ND people, and Catholics in general should write other news organizations and internet sites so that the word gets out. Pressure should be brought to this bigoted organization to affect their business and push them to change.
A quiet letter of apology to Charlie Weis and Mike Golic is NOT sufficient. Jacobson's remarks were a direct attack on the Notre Dame Family and their religious beliefs. A public apology is in order.

Two New Obama Girls Speak Out

From http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59612

The leader of a black pro-life organization is blasting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama for "applauding the efforts" of those who are aborting unborn African-Americans.

Day Gardner is president of the National Black Pro-Life Union, which helps to coordinate the efforts of black pro-life groups.

"Senator Obama doesn't care that abortion has obliterated the rights of more than 15 million black children since 1973," Gardner said in a statement. "He doesn't care that abortion is the No. 1 killer of African-Americans surpassing deaths caused by accidents, heart disease, stroke, crimes, HIV-AIDS and all other deaths – combined!

"He won't make one of his powerful speeches decrying the injustice of abortion providers as they plant killing centers firmly in black communities – making it easier to kill black children. Instead, he actually applauds their efforts! These children are denied their most basic human right, which is the right to life, a right which our ancestors so proudly worked for, marched for and many of them died for."

Obama's record of supporting abortion in both the Illinois state Senate and the U.S. Senate is undisputed.

WND columnist Jill Stanek has written about Obama's opposition to Illinois' Born Alive Infant Protection Act, legislation clarifying the terms "person," "human being," "child," and "individual" in Illinois statutes included any baby born alive, no matter what gestational age or circumstance of birth.

Wrote Stanek: "In 2001 and 2002, Obama was the lone senator speaking against Born Alive on the Senate floor. In 2003, Obama killed the bill altogether by burying it alive in a committee he chaired. …

"By the third time Obama tried to snuff Born Alive, he was running for the U.S. Senate. The federal version had passed the year before unanimously in the Senate and almost unanimously in the House. Even NARAL went neutral. Pro-aborts agreed to let it pass without a fight lest they appear extreme.

"Except Obama. He decided to battle alone further left than any other senator – Boxer, Clinton, Kennedy, Kerry, et al."

Concluded Gardner: "Unfortunately, Barack Obama supports the ruthless culture of death – one that includes killing the smallest Americans – too small to flee or fight back."

America's "Facist Moment" - Margaret Sanger Co-Stars in New Book by Jonah Goldberg

According to a book review by Ron Radosh in today's New York Sun, Margaret Sanger is featured prominently in Jonah Goldberg's new book, Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, from Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning .

Here is a brief excerpt from Radosh's review:

Turning to what he calls liberal racism, Mr. Goldberg offers readers his finest chapter. It is a devastating picture of how liberals adopted eugenics — a basic part of Nazi doctrine — which was not, as some liberal intellectuals have argued, an outgrowth of conservative thought. Fans of Margaret Sanger, perhaps the single most important feminist hero of the 20th century, will never be able to think of her in the same way. Mr. Goldberg dissects her hidden views of eugenics. A socialist and birth-control martyr, she favored banning reproduction of the "unfit" and regulation of everyone else's reproduction. She wrote, "More children from the fit, less from the unfit — that is the chief issue of birth control." She opposed the birth of "ill-bred, ill-trained swarms of inferior citizens." Her words reveal her motive in advocacy of birth control. She sought to remove "inferior" people from being born to poor people, whose mothers by definition were "unfit." Sanger's partisans in Planned Parenthood, the group that stemmed from her work, will be shocked to learn that her publication endorsed the Nazi eugenics program, and that Sanger herself "proudly gave a speech to a KKK rally." That was not surprising, since she clearly viewed blacks as inferior. Hence her "Negro Project," in which she sought to urge blacks to adopt birth control.

Congrats to the unlikeliest of champions, St. Gregory’s Academy

The unlikeliest of champions: St. Gregory’s Academy

Only at a school like St. Gregory’s Academy would the groundwork for a District 2 championship originate in a monastery in France.

The Highlanders, with the smallest enrollment of the schools that play soccer in the district, proudly trace their success to a trip to Europe last spring.

****

The success of the soccer team, and for that matter the senior class at the all-boys boarding school, arose from a spring trip to France.

“The boys went on a pilgrimage, with about 20,000 others (from around the world), from Paris to Chartres Cathedral, which dates back to the ninth century,” St. Gregory’s head dorm father Matthew Schultz said. “It houses the veil of the Blessed Mother.”

Highlander soccer players Alex Michel, Simon Dart, Joseph Long, Frank Pouliot, Brian Redmond and Zach Bateman were among those participating in the pilgrimage’s three-day, 75-mile walk.

***

The school’s web site has a section about the importance of music and performing arts at the academy. Music is given its due as a way to form character and delight the soul, highlighting both folk music, with its rich story-telling songs, and Gregorian chant, an ancient expression of worship in the Catholic faith.

Soccer games involving St. Gregory’s are unlike any other in the area. The bleachers filled by the small St. Gregory’s student body back their fellow students with loud songs and chants throughout the game.

Unlike the hooligans that disrupt games around the world with derogatory or even racist taunts, these cheers are all positive and designed to help the Highlanders.

“When you’re a little down after messing up, (the crowd) gets you back into it,’’ Redmond said. “They’ve never given up on us, why should we give up on ourselves? It’s very inspiring.”
Berg appreciates what an advantage the Highlanders have.

“They make you lose your voice as a coach,” Berg said. “Trying to yell instructions to your players, maybe you can yell to midfield. It’s impossible to be heard by the guys on the far side of the field.”

More impressive than that is the fact that all of the cheering, singing and chanting is all positive. No disparaging remarks about the opposition.

“I’ve never heard a negative comment,” Berg said. “It’s always a song or a chant, and it’s all very respectful.”

In fact, the school received a letter from a soccer referee who had never done a St. Gregory’s game before he officiated one of the District 2 playoff games.

“St. Gregory’s Academy renewed my own enjoyment of officiating soccer at the high school level when I witnessed the school representatives, coaches, players, scorekeeper, ball boys, bagpipers, flag-wavers and students demonstrating a rare school spirit which was both refreshing and spiritually uplifting to me,” the referee wrote. “The skill level and sportsmanship displayed by the Highlanders was outstanding which was certainly a reflection of their coach and school.

“The camaraderie among the players was great. I heard only positive reinforcement from coaches and players: no negative sarcasm when a player missed an opportunity or misplayed a ball.”

Blogger Carrie Tomko Wins 3rd Annual Margaret Sanger at the Klan Rally Art Contest

In a very close decision, Carrie Tomko has won the 3rd Annual Margaret Sanger at the Klan Rally Art Contest. Congratulations Carrie! Here is Carrie's winning entry:

Ms. Margaret and the Klan

There once was a woman named Margaret,
Who made Negro babies her target.
She longed to see less of them,
Courted the death of them,
Sanger, this woman named Margaret.

The wives of the Klansmen who meet
Disguised in voluminous sheet,
Gave her their attention
At secret convention
To learn of her childless technique.

Ms. Sanger was poorly impressed.
Elementary they are she confessed.
So childlike she found them,
Dumbed her talk down for them,
Sanger their arrogant guest.

The organization she ran
Has snuffed out more blacks than the Klan,
Yet people aren't frighted,
But rather delighted,
Embracing the Parenthood Planned.

The judges were greatly impressed by all the entries. Fellow judge, Jill Stanek, noted, "I could tell contestants worked hard to incorporate your theme. Very creative lot!"

A very, very close second place (and winner of the reader poll!) was Chris Chan and his poweful short play, "The Killed Story."

Third place goes to Bill Hailey and his terrific poem, "Such a Loving Margaret Sanger." Be sure to check out more of Bill's work (and link to it!) at his blog, "Bill's Big Blog" - - great stuff!

Thanks also to The Catholic Caveman and the unknown writer of Haikus for their strong entries.

Special thanks to our judges, Sean Dailey and Jill Stanek.

We can not wait for next year!!!

From Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366:

Always to me any aroused group was a good group, and therefore I accepted an invitation to talk to the women's branch of the Ku Klux Klan...As someone came out of the hall I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses. I waited another twenty minutes. It was warmer and I did not mind so much. Eventually the lights were switched on, the audience seated itself, and I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak...In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. Another Great Entry: The Killed Story

THE KILLED STORY

A SHORT PLAY
BY CHRIS CHAN

(It is a late afternoon in 1926. The setting is Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the office of HARTLEY PINKER, a news editor at a major Milwaukee newspaper. He is seated at his desk, making notes on a piece of paper. He wears a suit, slightly stained with printers’ ink. After a few moments there is the sound of a commotion outside his office door.)

WOMAN’S VOICE. (Off.) Ma’am, you can’t go in there.

MARTHA BIALOWSKY. (Off.) I don’t believe that you’ll be able to stop me. (Pushes through the door.) Hello, Pinker. (Slams the door shut.)

HARTLEY. Marty. I don’t think that you have an appointment.

MARTHA. And yet, somehow, the two of us are still going to have a little conversation. And incidentally, it’s “Mrs. Bialowsky” to you.

HARTLEY. (Reaches for the phone.) It’ll have to be “Marty,” or maybe “Mrs. B.” I can never pronounce your last name. And if you don’t leave, I’ll be forced to call someone to escort you out.
MARTHA. Even you can manage to pronounce a simple “Ma’am.” And if you don’t give me five minutes of your time, God as my witness, I will throw your typewriter through your closed window. You don’t want broken glass today. It’s quite chilly, even by Milwaukee standards. Don’t think that I have any reservations about making a scene.

HARTLEY. (Pulls back from the phone.) No, no. I believe that you’re certainly crazy enough to pull a stunt like that. All right. You have four minutes.

MARTHA. (Pulls a letter out of her coat pocket and slams it down hard upon the desk.) You sent me this letter today informing me that you would not run my story on Margaret Sanger’s speech at a Ku Klux Klan rally in Silver Lake, New Jersey two days ago.

HARTLEY. That is correct. We do not need your work, it does not suit our present needs. However, if you’re free tomorrow, why don’t you slip over to the Ladies’ League bake sale fundraiser for war veterans down the street? That would be a story worth covering.

MARTHA. (Nearly spluttering in rage.) Eddie gave me permission to cover this story last week. He’s your superior. He gave me the money to travel to New Jersey.

HARTLEY. Yes. That was foolish of him. We’d take that out of his pay, but it seems churlish to dip our fingers into dear old Eddie’s retirement fund.

MARTHA. Retirement? Eddie loves his job.

HARTLEY. Of course he does. But he’s getting up there, and it’s a new day in the world of journalism. He’s too old-fashioned. Starting Monday, I’ll officially assume Eddie’s title and duties. And in my new, improved editorial position, I’ll need journalists who know how to write the right kind of articles. Your services, dear lady, will no longer be required here. And your article about Mrs. Sanger’s speech will rot in the wastepaper basket, where it belongs.

MARTHA. But why? This is topical, this is important, this–

HARTLEY. It’s not the kind of subject that we think is appropriate for this paper. After all, Mrs. Sanger is a revered figure, and Marty; it’s just not smart to write as disparagingly as you have towards a woman who’s considered a hero in many circles.

MARTHA. She’s no hero to me. If you heard what she said to those idiotic Ku Klux Klanswomen…

HARTLEY. How did you get in there, anyway?

MARTHA. I disguised myself in one of those damn hoods. It was easy to hide my notebook and pencil in those ridiculous robe sleeves. I couldn’t risk having her see my face.

HARTLEY. I’m sure that you couldn’t, Marty. After that very public dust-up you and Mrs. Sanger had three years ago, you can bet that she wouldn’t have let you anywhere near her.

MARTHA. The woman is a bigot, an intellectual slug, and has the morals of a diseased alley cat. People need to know what kind of person she really is.

HARTLEY. As far as I’m concerned, she’s an angel of mercy, and you are not going to try to convince our readers otherwise.

MARTHA. Three years ago, your paper painted everyone who protested her speech here as raving loons!

HARTLEY. Ah, yes. What was that line? “The audience didn’t start a riot, nobody threw eggs or deceased cats.” Remarkably restrained behavior for those disreputable opponents of birth control. You know how blind and emotional those silly Catholics can get, being one yourself.

MARTHA. You cad. You made Sanger sound like she could walk on water three years ago. You butchered my articles on her until they were unrecognizable. You hinted that the Catholic clergy were seeking to impose a reign of censorship upon the city. You appealed to all of the worst anti-Catholic stereotypes and kept every offensive, morally disgusting quote from Sanger’s speech buried. Why are you afraid of printing the truth?

HARTLEY. As far as I’m concerned, the truth is that you are a hidebound, reactionary, shrill, overzealous woman who has allowed herself to be blinded by priestcraft into trying to smear the name of one of the great humanitarians of our day. I don’t know why your husband let you leave your four kids in his care while you slipped off halfway across the country to write your libel, but if I were in his place– and goodness knows, there’s not enough money in the world for me to take that rotten job– I’d put you in your place soon enough. Anyway, I don’t know what you seek to accomplish with your sensationalist tales of banners, burning crosses, and calls for the reduction of the black population, but don’t expect me to assist you with your quixotic crusade.

MARTHA. Now listen to me. I heard Sanger proclaiming that America needed to be populated by a race of thoroughbreds. She said “I’d like to see a society where parents have to apply for parenthood. We have strict immigration and not everyone who wants to come into the United States may. But anyone can bring a child into the world. That is wrong… We want to create a race of thoroughbreds. We want to make our bodies ‘holy temples’ fit for souls.” Those were her exact words, Hartley. Almost the same ones she used in Milwaukee three years ago. She told that audience of wretched women how she planned to weed black people out of America through contraception. They cheered her. They gave her a standing ovation. For the love of all that is holy, Hartley, the woman is calling for genocide. If she and her friends have their way, hundreds of thousands, no, millions of lives will be in danger. You have a moral duty to tell the city– no, the state– no, the country– what kind of dangers that Catholics, Jews, immigrants, and blacks will be in if Sanger succeeds in her agenda.

HARTLEY. I think that you overestimate how shocked people will be. Don’t forget that most of the respectable people in town have at least one relative or close friend in the Klan, if they’re not in it themselves. Wisconsin’s full of members. This is eugenics country. And all those undesirables you mentioned? No one who counts is going to cry if they just slowly start disappearing. No. What good will your article do? Eugenics and contraception are here to stay, Marty, and I’m trying to do you a favor here by keeping your reactionary little bit of scribbling under wraps so you don’t embarrass yourself. I won’t have you giving Mrs. Sanger any enemies. Milwaukee doesn’t need to know about Mrs. Sanger’s speech to the Klan, they don’t need to hear what she really said, and… I don’t need to explain myself. Your four minutes are up. Get out of my office, and take your worthless story with you.

MARTHA. You can’t bury my article. I’ll find a paper. If the Sentinel or the Journal won’t run it, I’ll take it to a smaller paper. The Catholic Herald will print it.

HARTLEY. (Sneers.) And when the archdiocese’s little rag runs the story, I hope that all five people who read it enjoy it.

MARTHA. (Looks at him for a moment.) You know, Hartley, you may think that you’ve killed a story, but they have a way of coming back to life. Like those stories from three years ago, when Sanger came to town. None of the major papers printed them, least of all you, but what you don’t know is that I did a little self-censorship.

HARTLEY. How very prudent of you.

MARTHA. Well, I didn’t want to be sued for libel. I knew what the eugenicists were doing, but I didn’t have any proof, so I sat on my story. Now I do have proof. I know what’s been happening, Hartley, and soon all of Milwaukee will know what your friends have unleashed upon the city. Murder is murder, even if the victims are considered “undesirable.” What do you think those very respectable eugenicists will do once the story breaks?

HARTLEY. (Rises, shaking with rage.) You’re bluffing. MARTHA. I have diaries, I have letters, I even have a few photos. It’s amazing what a guilty conscience will produce. Oh, I am going to enjoy watching the fallout from this. You can’t keep the truth locked away forever, Hartley.

HARTLEY. (His face is deathly pale.) Martha… for your own sake, for your husband’s sake, for the sake of your four children, leave this alone. Tear up those articles and burn the shreds. Otherwise… I can’t guarantee your safety.

MARTHA. (Tight-lipped smile.) Just so you know, if anything were to happen to me or my family, those stories would still run. You can’t stop them now. I have a lot of friends amongst Milwaukee’s newspapers. Humphrey Desmond is going to help me. He wants to see Sanger exposed as much as I do. Keep an eye on the Journal and the Catholic Herald, Hartley. You’re going to wish that you ran my story about Sanger’s Ku Klux Klan speech. (Exits triumphantly.)

HARTLEY. (Shaking, dials the phone.) Hello, it’s me. Hartley... Yes, I know you said not to call, but this is an emergency... It’s that damned lady journalist, Martha Bialowsky. Remember that fuss three years ago when Margaret Sanger spoke here? Well, that Bialowsky woman’s got proof now... I don’t know what, but it’s got to be dynamite. I can’t… Yes, of course. I agree. She has to be silenced. But how?

(Blackout.)

Final Deadline NOVEMER 12 for all entries

Sorry folks, due to work and a project we have been working on, the blog has been neglected. At least one promised entry is still outstanding so we have generously agreed to extend the deadline a final time until November 12. There will be no further extensions.

We hope to announce the results on the Feast Day of St. Margaret of Scotland, November 16.

Contest Deadline Extended to Sunday November 4

The Deadline for entering the Margaret Sanger at the Ku Klux Klan Rally has been extended to November 4. We would like to announce a winner on November 9. We received an e-mail from a student working on a very interesting Video project who just found out about the contest. (Aren't student always looking for extensions?) Also, we have been away from the blog due to real life concerns the past few days, so a brief extension is warrented.

We would also like to post a couple more well-deserving entries including a fascinating short play we are sure you will all find compelling. Look for it in the next couple days.

Again, if you are keeping score at home, here is a quick run down of what we have so far:

The Anonymous Haikus by Reader of the Heart Mind and Strength Blog

The Catholic Caveman's Entry by the Catholic Caveman

Such a Loving Margaret Sanger by Bill Haley

Ms. Margaret and the Klan by Carrie Tomko

Keep your eye on this blog as we will be posting a few more entries in the upcoming days.

A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered." (Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366)

A Brief Bella Review: Yes, It's That Good

A few of us attended Bella last night and the movie was everything that had been promised. Powerful, moving and entertaining. You really must see it to appreciate it.

But far more importantly, get out there and help demonstrate that there is a market for good, clean, entertaining movies that reflect Catholic values. If you do not get out there and support this movie, you can never again complain about the garbage Hollywood shovels out.

Not Gonna Do It!

A reader e-mailed us today urging that the Margaret Sanger Adolph Hitler Morph be entered into the Margaret Sanger at the Ku Klux Klan Rally Art Contest.

However, for several reasons. the morph is clearly ineligible.

1) We believe it falls under the category of a photoshop. Under this year's new rules, photoshops are banned.

2) The sponsor of the contest was instrumental in developing the Morph.

3) It is of zero artistic value.

However, we do have a record number of participants and some very high quality entries so far. And there are still at least two more excellent entries that have not even been posted yet.

If you are keeping score at home, here is a quick run down of what we have so far:

The Anonymous Haikus by Reader of the Heart Mind and Strength Blog

The Catholic Caveman's Entry by the Catholic Caveman

Such a Loving Margaret Sanger by Bill Haley

Ms. Margaret and the Klan by Carrie Tomko

Two Things to do This Weekend

Alright folks. Here is your homework for the weekend.

1) Go see Bella.

Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, is urging the faithful throughout the Archdiocese to see the powerful new film "Bella" which opens in select local theaters on Friday, October 26, 2007. Cardinal Rigali said, "This film has a message that is so connected to life: to the problems of life, the challenges of life, the value of life. This film, I believe, is destined to have an extraordinary impact on people's lives."

2) Complete your entry for the Margaret Sanger at the Ku Klux Klan Rally Art Contest.
All entries are due by October 31, 2007. So do not procrastiante students.

Ms. Margaret and the Klan

Another prominent blogger has jumped into the contest. Carrie Tomko, from Still Running Off at the Keyboard , weighs in with a devestating entry. On her always enlightening blog, Carries notes: Can't resist a challenge. Especially not one involving poetry. It hangs around the corners of my mind until I finally give in and write the poem.

We think you'll all agree that Carrie has lived up to the challenge:

Ms. Margaret and the Klan

There once was a woman named Margaret,
Who made Negro babies her target.
She longed to see less of them,
Courted the death of them,
Sanger, this woman named Margaret.

The wives of the Klansmen who meet
Disguised in voluminous sheet,
Gave her their attention
At secret convention
To learn of her childless technique.

Ms. Sanger was poorly impressed.
Elementary they are she confessed.
So childlike she found them,
Dumbed her talk down for them,
Sanger their arrogant guest.

The organization she ran
Has snuffed out more blacks than the Klan,
Yet people aren't frighted,
But rather delighted,
Embracing the Parenthood Planned.

Past Winners Educated Public About Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood, Ku Klux Klan Connection

As we count down the final days of this year's Margaret Sanger at the Ku Klux Klan Art Contest, we would like to pay tribute to the two previous winners of the Art Contest. While some have criticized their photoshopped efforts as something less than artwork, we have no doubt that their efforts have helped educate the public about the link between Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood, and the Ku Klu Klan.

We also would like to add that this year's decision to ban photoshopped entries was not meant to detract from their past efforts but rather to encourage variety and creativity in this year's contest.

We occasionally hear the demented defenders of Death complaining that past winners were somehow distorting the truth about Margaret Sanger. Well, here is the truth folks, straight from the Maggie Sanger autobiography:

From Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366:

Always to me any aroused group was a good group, and therefore I accepted an invitation to talk to the women's branch of the Ku Klux Klan...As someone came out of the hall I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses. I waited another twenty minutes. It was warmer and I did not mind so much. Eventually the lights were switched on, the audience seated itself, and I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak...In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered." (Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366)

Hats off to past winners:

Another strong entry

We mentioned this one earlier, but hadn't posted the complete entry. So here it is below. Well done Bill! Bill Haley now has a second poem up at his blog on another topic, and Bill's BIG Blog appears to be a very promising addition to blogdom.

SUCH A LOVING MARGARET SANGER

By Bill Haley
October 9, 2007

Such a loving Margaret Sanger
Spoke to the Ku Klux Klan.
You might think they would hang her?
No, they would like her plan.

“Silent death is nice and quiet”,
The Klan began to think.
“We could kill without a riot,
And then they would not stink.”

“How many blacks we will get!”
Margaret’s new Klan thought,
“When we finish, then I bet
They’ll thank us as they ought.”

Such a loving Margaret Sanger
Spoke to the Ku Klux Klan.
You might think they would hang her?
No, they would love her plan.

When she spoke they sat and stared
With mouths opened wide,
They had never thought nor dared
To murder with such pride.

They were freed from their mask,
And the itchy hood.
Now they knew their first task:
To plan your parenthood.

Such a loving Margaret Sanger
Spoke to the Ku Klux Klan.
You might think they would hang her?
No, they will join her plan.

A Caveman Joins in the Fun

You know you have made it when a bigtime blogger from The Lair of the Catholic Cavemen graces your contest with his wit and wisdom.

From Vir Speluncae Catholicus:

There once was this gal name o' Maggie
Was listed on the Ku Klux Klan tally
Her thoughts on the need
To eradicate "weeds"
Was echoed at the Nuremberg Rally

Memorialize the Margaret Sanger, Ku Klux Klan, Planned Parenthood Alliance in Silver Lake, New Jersey

We received a very interesting suggestion in the e-mail (defundabortionguy at hotmail.com) last week. It has a lot of potential and readers are welcome to weigh in on it:

I really think some type of memorial is needed in Silver Lake, New Jersey to commemorate the historic convergence of evil that occurred when the Founder of Planned Parenthood first spoke to the Ku Klux Klan. Since that occasion, Planned Parenthood has become by far the #1 killer of blacks in this country.

Perhaps an annual prayer service asking God for forgiveness? Or a simple plaque marking where it occurred and the evil that followed?

Just a thought. I don't live anywhere near New Jersey, but if someone else takes the lead I would be more than happy to donate.

We like the way this guy thinks! Are there any New Jerseyites out there willing to help out? Is there a Silver Lake Right to Life group?

Our Margaret Sanger Blog in the News

Thanks to all those bloggers who recently either mentioned this blog or mentioned the Margaret Sanger at the Ku Klux Klan Rally Art Contest.

The Curt Jester, one of the great ones when it comes to Catholic blogging, sent a lot of traffic our way with his post mentioning the contest, Spread the Truth About Margaret Sanger, noting that "this year they are having two presitgious bloggers as judges, Jill Stanek and Sean Dailey. "

[And today, the Curt Jester had this to say about Holy Cross College and its good friends Planned Parenthood and NARAL..."My two cents is that if the school does not start going down the right path that they should change their name from Holy Cross to Double Cross." ]

Father Dwight Longenecker at Standing on My Head had this to say about our blog:

Through the Curt Jester I found this excellent pro life blog. it's called The Truth About Margaret Sanger.

Also thanks to Father Tim Finigan at The hermeneutic of continuity who gave a big plug to the Margaret Sanger Art Contest with his post Margaret Sanger: KKK speaker.

The very informative blog Good Jesuit, Bad Jesuit also gave us a mention.

Our little blog was also being discussed on something called the Phatmass forum .

The delightful My Three Sons gave the contest a mention adding "check out the website, it is well worth it!"

And Cvstos Fidei posted about our blog.

Thanks guys and gals for drawing attention to Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood, the Ku Klux Klan and their racist connections.

We also have a very first. A entire blog apparently inspired by the Margaret Sanger at the Ku Klux Klan Rally Art Contest.

This guy also has to be considered a very serious contender. Way to go Big Bill!

Bill's Big Blog Spot: Such a Loving Margaret Sanger

We hope to hear a lot more from Big Bill!

And we have more entries which I promise to post in the next couple of days.

Oh, and this may be dangerous, but if anyone can translate, I believe we owe a big thanks to this guy:

Sanger Contest Takes Off!

We have more bloggers to thank, a few very strong entries to highlight, a great e-mail proposal and more to catch up on in the next couple days. No one expected the contest to take off like it has this year...but thanks to all those who have given it a plug and let's keep getting the word out.

Unfortunately, we just don't have the time right now to discusss further but keep your eye on this blog because there is some good stuff coming up in the next few days!!!

Who Said That? Planned Parenthood Foundress Margaret Sanger or neo-Nazi Tom Metzger

Thanks to some fellow bloggers who have really been talking up this blog, we have had a lot of new traffic lately. Welcome new readers!

So we thought we would re-post an all time favorite around here and let some of the new guys take a crack at the Sangerr or Metzger Quiz. Click the link below and take the test. Good Luck!

The Word is Out About Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood and the Ku Klux Klan

We wish to thank all those bloggers who have recently mentioned our blog and in doing so shined light on the racist connections between Maggie Sanger, Klanned Parenthood and the KKK.

Yes, it continues to astonish me that Margaret Sanger can state the following in her autobiography and yet, her racist past is still denied by some:

From Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366:

Always to me any aroused group was a good group, and therefore I accepted an invitation to talk to the women's branch of the Ku Klux Klan...As someone came out of the hall I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses. I waited another twenty minutes. It was warmer and I did not mind so much. Eventually the lights were switched on, the audience seated itself, and I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak. .. In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.

And today we have the following situation:

*A black baby is three times more likely to be murdered in the womb than a white baby.

*Since 1973, abortion has reduced the black population by over 25 percent.

*Twice as many African-Americans have died from abortion than have died from AIDS, accidents, violent crimes, cancer, and heart disease combined.

*Every three days, more African-Americans are killed by abortion than have been killed by the Ku Klux Klan in its entire history.

*Planned Parenthood operates the nation's largest chain of abortion clinics and almost 80 percent of its facilities are located in minority neighborhoods.

*About 13 percent of American women are black, but they submit to over 35 percent of the abortions.

And perhaps the most disturbing thing of all is that, according to Stopp Planned Parenthood, this is all done with "over $305.3 million dollars a year of your tax money."

So thanks, fellow bloggers who have helped spread the word. In particular, Jill Stanek and Sean Daily, for agreeing to judge this year's contest. As well as, the wonderful Generations for Life blog, Mark Shea at Catholic and Enjoying It, An Ol' Broad's Rambling, Studeo, Wife and Mom of Two gave us a great plug, as did the very entertaining Lair of the Catholic Cavemen (who calls us "A first rate blog in the best of the bloglodyte tradition. Hard hitting and not afraid to tell it like it is.")

And one blog we almost forgot to mention is the great pro-life blog Modern Commentaries which has been tremendously supportive of our efforts here.

Thank you all, and if I missed anyone, shoot me an e-mail!

Remember, this blog exists for purely educational purposes and everytime someone mentions it, more students, young adults and parents learn about the racist connection between Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood, Ku Klux Klan.

Could this be the Year of the Haiku?

First of all, a big thank you to Kevin Miller over at the Heart mind and Strength Blog for his plug of the Art Contest: GOT ARTISTIC TALENT (UNLIKE ME)? HELP TELL "THE TRUTH ABOUT MARGARET SANGER" AND THE KKK!

A reader of Kevin's sent in the following:

Nobody has ever accused me of excess creativity, but I did come up with a Margaret Sanger haiku, in two varieties:

Margaret Sanger:
She spoke to the KKK.
Abortion hero.

Margaret Sanger:
fan of the Klan
but not of children in the womb.

Announcing the 3rd Annual Margaret Sanger at the Ku Klux Klan Rally Art Contest

Yes folks, at long last, it is time again for The Margaret Sanger at the Ku Klux Klan Rally Art Contest.

This year's contest will be the 3rd Annual and marks the 81th Anniversary of Margaret Sanger's speech to the Women's Branch of the Silver Lake Ku Klux Klan. In her own 1938 autobiography, Margaret Sanger An Autobiography (1971 reprint by Dover Publications, Inc. of the 1938 original published by W.W. Norton & Company) Sanger indicates at pages 366-367 that the she got along quite well with members of a New Jersey branch of the Ku Klux Klan at her 1926 speech, eventually getting a "dozen invitations to speak to similar groups."

Participants in this year's contest are encouraged to commemorate Sanger at the Klan rally in unique artistic ways. Drawings, cartoons, historical novels, haiku, dance, plays, videos, paintings, quilts, rap, puppetry, modern interpretations of Sanger speaking to the Klan, reenactments of the speech on YouTube, mime, audio recordings of actual Sanger quotes she may have reused when speaking to the Klan - - there is no limit to the artistic ways this historic event can be commemorated. Please note, this year we will not be accepting photoshopped entries.

JUDGES

We are honored this year to have two prestigous bloggers as judges, Jill Stanek and Sean Dailey.

Jill Stanek gained national attention when as a registered nurse at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois, in 1999, she discovered babies were being aborted alive and shelved to die in a soiled utility room. She went public with this news, testified twice before Congress, and her efforts ultimately led to the passage of Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Jill now writes a weekly column for WorldNetDaily in addition to her highly information pro-life blog, Pro-life Pulse.

Sean Dailey is the Editor-in-Chief of the delightful Gilbert Magazine, published by the American Chesterton Society. Sean also maintains the Blue Boar Blog , a blog devoted to G.K. Chesterton, our Lady, home brewing, inns, Distributism, good literature, the lost art of Catholic drinking, and other crucial elements of Catholic culture. As an expert on the wit and wisdom of GK Chesterton, Sean seems ideally suited for the task of judging this year's contest.

The Big Abortion Industry still holds Margret Sanger out as an icon. Artwork is one more important ways to promote the truth about Margaret Sanger.

RULES and REGULATIONS

The rules for this year's contest are simple:

1) Send submissions to the Margaret Sanger Blogspot through the comments section of this blog or by e-mail to Defundabortionguy at hotmail.com.

2) Submissions will be accepted through the month of October with the winners being named on November 1.

3) There is a limit of 12 submissions per person.

4) The art can be any artistic expression (computer drawings, photography, music, poetry, video, audio recording, haiku) as long as it attempts to recreate Margaret Sanger at the KKK Rally.

5) 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place will be announced here on November 1. The comments and views of readers of this blog will be taken into consideration by the judges as well as the views of other respected bloggers.

6) It is our hope and prayer that this contest will be enthusiastically promoted by other bloggers who are free to promote this idea, borrow this idea, steal this idea, or do anything else they want in order to educate the public about the truth concerning Margaret Sanger. It is understood that any entry can be reproduced on this blog and others.

Please encourage others to participate by e-mailing this information to other pro-lifers, bloggers, and artists!!

And if you are wondering what it looked like on that strange day in Silver Lake, here are Sanger's own words describing the Klan Rally:

From Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366:

Always to me any aroused group was a good group, and therefore I accepted an invitation to talk to the women's branch of the Ku Klux Klan...As someone came out of the hall I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses. I waited another twenty minutes. It was warmer and I did not mind so much. Eventually the lights were switched on, the audience seated itself, and I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak.

Contest Update

I will be posting the complete set of rules later today, but I wanted to anounce two major changes to this year's contest.

The first is the addition of two well-known bloggers as judges.

The second change will be a restriction against "photoshopped" entries. This change comes at the request of several readers. In the past, these artistic renderings of Margaret Sanger at the Silver Lake Ku Klux Klan Rally have been confused for the real thing.

The goal of this contest is ultimately to educate not to confuse or deceive. Cartoons or caricutures with actual quotes from the Sanger autobiography would achieve this purpose quite nicely.

Margaret Sanger "was a vocal opponent of racial stereotyping" - No Lie is too Big for Planned Parenthood!

From Nathan Sheets:

Hilarious Pro-Choice Quote of the Day!

"[Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood] was a vocal opponent of racial stereotyping and she worked very hard to eliminate the barriers to health care in the African-American community."—Lizzy Annison, Planned Parenthood Spokeswoman

I suppose that Sanger did, in fact, want to eliminate the barriers to health care for African Americans—by eliminating African Americans!

In Drunken Rage, Atheist Guru Hitchens Bullies Hero of 9-11, Father Rutler

Father Rutler to Christopher Hitchens:

FATHER RUTLER: I have met saints. You cannot explain the existence of saints without God. I was nine years chaplain with Mother Teresa [inaudible]. You have called her a whore, a demagogue. She’s in heaven that you don’t believe in, but she’s praying for you. If you do not believe in heaven, that’s why you drink.

Another very disturbing report concerning that wierd and evil media hero Christopher Hitchens.

Eyewitnesses report that Hitchens erupted into a drunken rage at a recent promotional event for his book. Hitchens reportedly descended from the stage, visibly inebriated, approached a Roman Catholic priest in the audience, and began shouting at him, only inches from his face. Hitchens’ manner appeared so physically menacing, witnesses say, that a plainclothes bodyguard on duty at the event rushed in and escorted the drunken scribe from the room.

We have some exciting news about the upcoming 3rd Annual Margaret Sanger at the Ku Klux Klan Rally ART CONTEST. Look for details and complete rules early next week!

What did it look like that day in Silver Lake, New Jersey nearly 81 years ago?

From Margaret Sanger: An Autobiography, P.366:

Always to me any aroused group was a good group, and therefore I accepted an invitation to talk to the women's branch of the Ku Klux Klan...As someone came out of the hall I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses. Rudy, We Hardly Knew Ye

From politicalpoop.com

After he was elected mayor, Giuliani delivered on these campaign promises — and more. His 1994 and 1998 tax returns show $500 in donations to Planned Parenthood, the country’s largest abortion provider. In 1996, the mayor issued a
proclamation declaring it “Planned Parenthood Day” in New York City and praising
the group’s eugenicist founder, Margaret Sanger.

Quote of the week

From Tom O'Toole at Fighting Irish Thomas discussing the Aurora Planned Parenthood lies:

To pro-lifers, those who promote some sad, desperate acts, will eventually (like Planned Parenthood's spiritual founder Margaret Sanger) promote them all. Simply turn your eye to China, where state mandated birth quotas (something Sanger often preached) are not only enforced via abortions, but also through infanticide if the offending child hasn't been detected in time. In China, they sell fetal soup (made from aborted babies) in the finest restaurants and though these eateries (like Planned Parenthood with abortion), no longer advertise the soup openly, it has become something of an expensive delicacy, a "selling point" to their clients of ways and means.
