Undoubtedly, during Margaret Sanger’s well documented trip to talk to the Ku Klux Klan, she must have assuredly spoken in very generous terms of African Americans.
Another great video from Rosary Films.
The website at African American Business describes it as follows:
How Does Planned Parenthood Celebrate Black History Month?
The following statement appears on Planned Parenthood’s website: “In observance of Black History Month, Planned Parenthood is celebrating the leadership of African Americans who led the fight for reproductive freedom.”
This is all very touching — that Planned Parenthood would take time from their busy schedule of killing black babies in their Abortion Clinics — to proclaim their appreciation for the African-American community. The Planned Parenthood website goes on to recognize the achievements of that famous advocate of nonviolence — the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. as if Dr. King somehow posthumously approves the violent killings of the more than 1500 babies that will be destroyed in a black woman’s womb every day, a significant portion of which, are performed in Planned Parenthood’s abortion clinics.
The Planned Parenthood website also states that, “Planned Parenthood is committed to providing the highest level of care to people of all cultures and backgrounds.” This is indeed very generous of Planned Parenthood to lend a helping hand to one of Margaret Sanger’s favorite ethnic groups, as exemplified by Margaret Sanger’s famous “Negro Project”.

“There is a striking kinship between our movement and Margaret Sanger’s early efforts. She, like we, saw the horrifying conditions of ghetto life. Like we, she knew that all of society is poisoned by cancerous slums. Like we, she was a direct actionist — a nonviolent resister. She was willing to accept scorn and abuse until the truth she saw was revealed to the millions. At the turn of the century she went into the slums and set up a birth control clinic, and for this deed she went to jail because she was violating an unjust law. Yet the years have justified her actions. She launched a movement which is obeying a higher law to preserve human life under humane conditions. Margaret Sanger had to commit what was then called a crime in order to enrich humanity, and today we honor her courage and vision; for without them there would have been no beginning. Our sure beginning in the struggle for equality by nonviolent direct action may not have been so resolute without the tradition established by Margaret Sanger and people like her. “ - Martin Luther King Jr
Sorry to leave this comment here but I couldn't find anywhere to get in touch with you.
I love Frank Sinatra as much as the next guy but it's really annoying to have him singing in the background while trying to watch the youtube videos you linked.
Peter Hemm quoted that so perfectly. I don't think that Margaret Sanger was trying to abolish the black race. I think she was trying to help ALL poverty stricken women who kept getting pregnant with babies they were not able to feed, dying because their bodies could not handle repeated pregnancies or in back alley abortions. Margaret Sanger did so much to help women and honestly I find it appalling that while doing my research for a Women in Literature course I found this blog and several others dedicating to smearing her name.
How is one suppose to watch a video you embed with music playing? Frustrating.
you people are clearly unhinged
you people are clearly unhinged, not the people commenting, the people or person who posts this site
The photos of Margaret Sanger with the Klan are (poorly) cut and paste. Very irresponsible. She had faults to be sure but she is still an American hero.
No human being is 100% good or bad. Sanger was no saint. She was racist. But she was no Nazi. She was for birth control and AGAINST abortion. She viewed KKK members as stupid. She and MLK,Jr. viewed each other as allies.
The above was my summary. Below is my source. Not the best source, I know, but good in a pinch. Emphasis (caps) added by me.

In 1926, Sanger gave a lecture on birth control to the women's auxiliary of the Ku Klux Klan in Silver Lake, New Jersey.[44] She described it as "one of the weirdest experiences I had in lecturing," and added that she had to use only "the most elementary terms, as though I were trying to make children understand."[44]
Sanger denounced the aggressive and lethal Nazi eugenics program.[74]
Sanger believed that lighter-skinned races were superior to darker-skinned races, but WOULD NOT TOLERATE BIGOTRY AMONG HER STAFF, NOR ANY REFUSAL TO WORK WITHIN INTERRACIAL PROJECTS.[83] Her contemporaries in the African-American community supported her efforts.
Sanger's work with minorities earned praise from Martin Luther King, Jr., in his 1966 acceptance speech for the Margaret Sanger award.[86]
Sanger was opposed to abortions, both because they were dangerous for the mother, and because she believed that life should not be terminated after conception.

Get educated...she has been quoted "I want to eliminate the black race". Sorry but ignorance is not bliss when an entire race has been targeted. Before abortion they sterilized black women who needed welfare to eat. Watch the movie Maafa"
It looks like the image of MS was planted into the photo of the KKK. She appears to be eight feet tall.
Come on guys. This was a speech given in 1926. How were African Americans treated by their own government in 1926?
CS, why would you post that false quote. Please people read the wiki yourself it clearly states she was for genocide and believed in 'cleansing' the white race.
Yes absolute, we honour her.
